Children are our passion and our reason for ministry. We believe that children can develop great values and character. By working alongside parents we hope to accomplish this through biblical teaching and providing Christ-like models to emulate. We have provided children, ages birth through 5th grade, with the heritage of our ministry for the past 100 plus years, building faith and values that last for eternity. Our model for great relationships is Jesus and His words.

We believe that kids who love Jesus can make a huge difference in their world! All of us involved in The H.E.A.R.T. Company are committed to children and want kids to grasp the truth of God which will give them the foundation to hold fast to Jesus no matter what the future holds.

Our teachers, care givers and staff volunteer their time and talents in serving and loving your children. The staff is carefully supervised by our Children’s Ministries Director and Coordinators.

Child Dedications
We believe that an important day for families is choosing to dedicate themselves to being a family that honors the Lord. A child dedication is a great opportunity to stand before the CABC family and commit yourselves, as parents, to bringing your child up in a way that honors the Lord and gives your child the best home possible. A week prior to your child's dedication, you will attend a short, mandatory informational meeting. You will learn about the meaning and significance of having a child dedicated. For more information contact contact our Child Dedication Coordinator

Child Care
If you are attending an event with childcare and need to make a reservation, please contact Erin Frye at erinfrye@cabc.org

There is something special about our Preschool. . .
We celebrate life in Christ through God's love and His creation. All preschool staff profess their faith as a living testimony while they model His love. College Avenue Preschool is committed to providing a learning environment in a Christian atmosphere with loving, caring and nurturing teachers. Play is the most natural learning mode for a child; therefore, our program is designed to enrich learning through his/her senses. When children feel good about themselves and about school, they will learn. We offer a year round program. College Avenue Preschool has been owned and operated by College Avenue Baptist Church for 27 years. It is tuition supported, non-profit religious organization licensed by the State of California.

Goals
We strive to teach and model Christian concepts and values that children can understand (such as love, sharing, kindness, etc.) through stories, conversation and classroom activities. Activities include language experiences, math, science, pre-reading skills, music, gross motor activities, field trips and structured as well as self-directed play. Children are encouraged to develop and grow at their own rate in an environment that allows for creativity, problem-solving and self-expression.

Registration and Enrollment
Enrollment is open to children, 2 through 6 years old. Please call the preschool to schedule a time for a tour and to receive an enrollment packet. A registration fee of $75 (non-refundable) is paid upon enrollment and then annually each September. If a class is full and you would like to secure the next available space, please complete the enrollment application and include the $75 registration fee.
The Preschool Office is located in the Berean building at College Avenue Baptist Church.
Lara Blouin is the Preschool Director: (619) 583-7111.

Crosswalk
STOP...LOOK...LISTEN... WALK
Wednesday Nights
6:30 - 8:00 pm
Ages: 4 years old - 5th grade
No cost. Just come!
We believe the Bible is God's true and Living Word and that Jesus is the Light of the world. We want to show today's children that God's word is just as true and relevant today as it always has been. Every week will include an age appropriate inductive Bible Study.

We realize that not all children learn in the same way, or enjoy the same type of activities. That is why we will provide different activities throughout the year to help children discover what talents they have, and more importantly how they can use their talent to serve within the church.

Activities may include: drama,cooking,dance,karate,choir,crafts,science...and more! Everyone will also participate in at least one service project each year.

For more information on Crosswalk contact Carol Anderson email crosswalkkidz@yahoo.com or phone 619-282-5149
