Welcome to CABC Music Ministries!
The Music Ministry of College Avenue Baptist Church offers many different opportunities to become involved and connected through the arts. We are dedicated to glorifying God in the performing arts and providing leadership in worship through song. The place of music in the worship and life of believers has been one of prominence since the days of David. Then, as now, a particular group of singers and musicians were called to assist in the worship of the Lord, to provide inspiration and instruction. We would like to encourage you to join us in this exciting ministry.

Sanctuary Music

The music ministry in the Sanctuary is truly a gem of CABC and San Diego. We offer one of the few truly traditional worship settings for the many people who don't feel at home in the contemporary, mixed, or post-modern worship settings. We strive to draw closer to God through the beautiful music sung and played by the many talented participants of the Sanctuary Music Ministries.

Gym Music

| The music & arts department further deepens the worship experience on a weekly basis. Various types of music, drama, film, photography, graphics, lighting, dance, poetry, pottery, and painting are just a few of the ingredients we blend into our worship time. We believe that art in the hands of a believer offers powerful expressions of worship, and can draw us into an enriching experience with our living Savior and with each other. Choir Rehearsals

Wednesdays 7:00-9:00 pm in the Sanctuary
Under the direction of Domingo Cabrera, interim choir director, the Sanctuary Choir serves at the heart of the worship community in the Sanctuary. Through a varied repertoire and joyous countenance, they lead worship every Sunday in the service. They also minister through off-campus events throughout the year. The choir is open to all adults, and no experience is necessary.

CABC Orchestra Rehearsals

Wednesdays 6:00-7:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
The CABC Orchestra provides an organized outlet for talented people in the church to use their abilities in instrumental music by enriching and supporting our worship of God. The orchestra participates in the Sanctuary service on a regular basis, and is involved in major programs throughout the year. Occasionally, string or brass ensembles will present selections during worship.
